Our first stop was Pike Place Fish Market. It was fun to walk the market street because that's exactly what it was - a huge farmers market. They had fresh (raw) fish that you can ship to anywhere (the guys there would throw fish around to perform for the passersby - super crazy), beautiful fresh flowers (my favorite part), and yummy treats that filled the streets with their smells. Yum Yum. (Pictures on "The Midcart Parentals blog" - we didn't have our camera with us at the time).
The Space Needle - Keira is too short for me to get the whole thing. Hopefully Gramma Jenny had better luck...
The view from the top of the Space Needle. The weather was perfect!! We could see Mt. Rainier in the distance, but we had trouble picking it up in our pictures. It really is behind us though.
REI had 4 floors and an indoor rock climbing wall that reached that high! It was so cool. We did a little bit of birthday shopping for Rick and we couldn't pass up getting these shades for Keira. Sweet.
I wonder what she was thinking...
What is it with kids and rocks?
Some kids never grow out of it...they just find bigger rocks and ones they can climb.
Keira even got Gramma in the mix
The view from the ferry from Bremerton to Seattle.
Lunch overlooking Snoqualmie Falls and Grampa entertaining Keira while we wait for a spread of deliciousness. Yummy!
You think she knows she's the princess?
Snoqualmie Falls
Thanks to Aunt Jill we got to celebrate Keira's 1st birthday on her actual birthday...
...and with cousins Penny and Macy! Miss you so much already.
We also toured the famous Underground Tour and Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame. This tour of instruments reached the ceiling of 3 stories high.
There was also a gallery dedicated to Jim Henson...and what's a gallery for Jim Henson without a muppet show. Keira was pretty intrigued - we got this shot in between shows.
Waiting to board the ferry. Keira was done for the day. No more pigtails Mom!!
Thanks Grampa and Gramma for such a memorable trip (and extra thanks to the Holyoaks for putting up with us, I mean, putting us up). We absolutely loved it!
