GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Well I know I was on a roll, but we are having technical difficulties. Our laptop has been freezing up on me every time I log on so I won't be able to post until it's fixed. I mean, come on, why post when I can't add pix right? So don't forget about me and hopefully I can get us completely up to date soon.

Keira is 2!

Keira is a 2 year old. I can't believe it! She's such a great girl and we feel lucky to have such a fun, crazy kid in our little family.

Favorite song: Twinkle Twinkle, Itsy Bitsy Spider, I am a Child of God, and I love to see the Temple (in that order)

Favorite activity: "swimmin", the park or "slide", "swing", and "SHOPPING!"

Favorite T.V. show: Curious George

Favorite movie: Peter Pan, Mulan

Favorite toy: Baby doll and stroller

Here are some of the festivities we had to celebrate such a cutie tootie:

Day 1

Birthday lunch with Ronald McDonald
Free ice cream for dessert - gotta love those kid-size cones!
Of course Sissy was invited
This was our attempt at getting me with my birthday girl. Thanks Sandra for your help!

We also took a trip to the pool later that afternoon because if you know Keira, you know she LOVES water! It's fun to take her, but very hard to get her away from it. I love my water baby!

Day 2

The Memphis Zoo (and Daddy got to come!)

She discovered how much fun hanging and swinging from the stroller is
Of course, we had to stop at the park in the zoo :)

"Monkeys!" Of course, this is Keira's favorite stop in the whole zoo.
"Please Mom!"
She loved the Sea Lion show at the zoo.
Festivities: Sticker butterflies that stick next to Curious George, Cake and Ice cream, and Presents! I think her favorite was the bubble machine we got her that makes 5,000 bubbles a minute!

The birthday girl...I promise she was smiling the whole time, just not when I had the camera pointed at her. I think she is directly related to my sister-in-law Amy :)
I do need to give myself a little credit for the apron I made for her. It's my favorite present that we got her :) It was super fun to make.

Chop it off!

I have been talking about cutting my hair for months and promised my sister Terri that if and when I ever did it, she could do it for me. Well, since I was losing her to Utah (she and her family were with us for a short time in Mississippi) and I didn't want to wait until September to cut it, she chopped it for me before she headed home. Hallelujah! I can't tell you how much I hated hair after only a few days in the South. There was absolutely nothing I could do with it and I mean NOTHING! Thank you so much Terri! You have no idea what a relief this has been. Love you tons!

Miss us?

Life has been pretty crazy, as you can imagine since I haven't blogged for 2 months now. We are currently living in Mississippi for the summer and have found so many things to keep us busy that I find my time is filled with activities to entertain the girls instead of blogging regularly. I wanted to back track, but have discovered some disappointing news. I do not have pictures from many of our recent events with me. Grrrr! I thought I had successfully transferred all of our many pictures from our home computer onto a zip drive and then to our laptop, but learned that it was not successful after all. I decided to steal some pictures from other bloggity blogs instead because it will be months before I'll be home to add those pictures.

Before our big move to the South, we had some fun in California. My brother Ben got married mid-April at my parents home and we arrived a few days before to enjoy some family reunion festivities. Much of this is documented in my parents blog http://theparentals.blogspot.com/ and like I said I stole some pix from other blogs to document it here. Thanks Mom and Dad!

Rick got his snowboard fix with some of the boyz in our family plus one of brother Ben's groomsmen. L to R - Brother Ben, Jared, Rick, In-law Ben, and friend Adam.
Who doesn't love "Sorry"? Around the table - Coley, me, Dara, Christi (Ty's fiance), and Ty

Ben and his beautiful bride, Sovondara (preferred name - Dara). Ben: I don't know if I have ever seen you so happy. Congrats brother!

This is the original MidCart clan...
...and this is us today. Camp Middleton 2010! Love you guys!

When we returned home from such a fun weekend with the fam, we had only a few days to pack up Rick and send him to Mississippi ahead of us. The girls and I stayed behind so I could attend Women's Conference with some of my sisters, mom, cousins, aunts, and even my grandma. Grampa Paul was a saint and watched the girls and cousin Olivia so we could enjoy the wonderful classes. I love Women's Conference. It is held at BYU-Provo every year with classes and inspiration for women (and men...but mostly women) who come from all over. This year was especially inspiring for me because I had many personal questions that I needed answered. It was amazingly spiritual and I feel like I have more tools to improve myself as a woman, wife, and mother. Here are some of the important people in my life that I spent 3 amazing days with.

No trip to Utah is complete without Cafe Rio and Kneaders for them non-Utahns. Although, I have to admit, I like having an excuse to go :)
Can't wait for Women's Conference 2011!
