Post reunion

Our family reunions were back to back this year so we were able to stay at the Riverhouse a few days after the Midcart reunion.  We took advantage of some hiking.  It is so pretty where my parent's live.  I don't know why I didn't think to take these opportunities before!  Gma & Gpa, the Horner's, and Aunt Coley all came with us on a river hike.  We grabbed some snuggle time and found some interesting rock formations.

I love this pic.  Lexi loves Grampa.

Rick and I stole a little hiking time together since my parent's talked up some hikes they've been doing.  Love my hubby.

The girls helped Gramma in the garden.  That's a good lookin' melon!

We met up with the Petersen's at the Folsom Zoo and later got some swim time (and sun time) in at their pool.

Cooper likes to be out of his stroller!  It was fun to see him take his first steps on this trip.

Ethan is always so good with kids.  Although it's hard to tell, Cooper didn't mind hangin' with him.

A trip to California isn't complete without a run to BJ's Brewery.  I guess we wore the girl's out.

Day 2 & 3 Reunion

Day 2 started with family pictures.  2 parents, 10 kids, 7 spouses (minus Christian - he was stuck away on business) and 26 grandchildren with 1 on the way!  I love-a mi-a famili-a!

All the grandkids with Gma & Gpa

Of course, just the siblings.  I love these crazies!

And then just our little bunch of Bassett's - thanks Jill for such great shots.

Day 2 was pretty much all about water.  My parent's live on the riverbank of the American River since my Dad is a big river rafter.  We actually launch from their backyard!  With the little kids, we do a float down the river, nice and easy.

Once we reached our destination, some of the older "kids" did an actual river run.  Rick joined them.

The little ones headed back to the Riverhouse to play in more water.  They love these waterslides!

Got us some otter pops and some chillaxin'.

It was fun to also get to visit with MY grandparents.

Nope.  The day is not over.  Aunt Dara and Aunt Coley hosted our very own "Minute to Win It" competition.  Keira was a fierce competitor.

Cooper wanted some Aunt Jill time...or time with her fancy gadgets.

There's always time to dance and sing.

The last day of the reunion was pretty relaxed.  We spent our day just hanging at the Riverhouse.  As evening started to fall, a friendly game of volleyball began.

The kids enjoyed more ride-on toys, the playground, and handstand contests.

Cooper got some snuggles in with cousin Cori and Gramma Jenny.

A stay at the Riverhouse is never complete without a read from our Dr. Seuss expert, Grampa Paul.

And that's a wrap!  Midcart Reunion 2013.  Out.
