With a new baby comes...a lot of staying at home. Luckily the girls had school to break up the week, but we had to find entertainment at home.
On a chilly, but sunny day, the girls decided to play in our backyard. They have very creative little minds for which I am grateful.
The pretty weather didn't last long. Snow is falling all around! But, of course, that doesn't stop Keira! She ended up playing in the snow for an hour all by herself one afternoon. Lexi didn't show much interest on this particular day and stayed inside.
When Daddy had a day off, the girls jumped at the chance to build a slide and play in the snow right in our own backyard.
We knew Rick's parents would be coming for Thanksgiving so we had to prep Cooper's room for Gramma Lynda to paint the graphics.
Keira talking to her favorite brother.
We celebrated Thanksgiving a little early with Gramma Judy and Grampa Steve. Once again, she dodged the camera, but just a little bit of documentation as to what we did do...
Turkey, of course (and I might say, we have an excellent rub for the turkey to make it out of this world)
Rainbow jell-o, a tradition we may continue because it is just THAT cool!
Cuties
A fight over Nana's world famous cheesecake
The week of Thanksgiving sort of came and went. Rick had to work a lot, Gramma Lynda painted a lot, Grampa Craig played with the girls a lot, and Cooper hung out with me a lot. Uncle Dallin came down from school to spend the weekend with us too. Thanksgiving Day was super chill. Dallin put on a mini concert for us to enjoy. We had dinner the day after at cousin Ana's home. Delicious!
Christmas came early for the girls. Thanks Gramma Lynda and Grampa Craig!

Cooper's Blessing Day
A name and a blessing: Cooper Lyman Bassett. I couldn't have asked for a better day. Cooper was a perfect angel during his blessing so I could listen to every word. I'll admit I was stressed because we don't have a great track record for quiet babies during blessings. I felt extra blessed when he didn't make a peep and slept through the entire rest of sacrament meeting!
We invited our family members to join us afterwards for waffles and to celebrate such a special day. Some of us walked home.
My dad taking on the waffle making.
Thanks to my amazing sister we squeezed in a family photo shoot. Christmas cards? Check!

October Mash - Part 2
Grampa Paul and Gramma Jenny's visit is just getting started! We tried to get out a bit since the weather was so nice. A definite need was that we HAD to take them to Scheel's and check out all the attractions. I hope Gramma forgives me for suggesting she go on the ferris wheel in my place :)
One day when I really needed a nap, Gma & Gpa took the girls to the park. I had no idea how many additions they had made! It had been months since we went and now I know where our favorite spot will be next spring!
Definitely have some monkey's in this family...
And, of course, more wrestling
Cornbelly's is one of our favorite fall fun activities so we invited our cousins to come.
Keira got in on the pie eating contest.
Cute princess cousins
Oh yes. And I was there too :)
