I've decided to mimic my good friend, Sarah, in composing this post. Enough has been going on since the last post that I'm a bit overwhelmed and I, too, feel that reading a bullet-ed list is easier to read. We'll start from the 27th of July...
*Boston trip #2: We attended yet another Red Sox vs. Yankees game - this time at Fenway Stadium. I actually enjoyed this more than the game at Yankee Stadium - most likely because Keira was 2 months instead of 5 1/2 weeks. Before the game, we ate at a restaurant on a pier and was super yummy. We also drove by the location of the Boston Tea Party, but couldn't see it well because it was raining! Fortunately, the rain stopped in time for the game, but delayed it an hour! Go Red Sox!

*Grandma Judy comes to visit! We went to New Haven to check out the coast and found some really pretty beaches. We had to make sure she put her feet in the Atlantic Ocean while she was here (pictures pending...). Rick and I took advantage of our babysitter and took a short, yet full, trip to New York. On our drive there, we stopped in Norwalk, CT to eat brunch at this cute restaurant, "Chocopologie". It's known for it's unique chocolate - so quaint. (more pictures pending...) We saw the Broadway show, Wicked, (Rick's 1st time, my 3rd!!) and had dinner at "The View" restaurant, the only revolving restaurant in New York.
*Surgery #2: The real reason Grandma Judy came was to help me recover from my second postpartum surgery. I had some retained placenta that wasn't completely removed from the 1st surgery (a D and C was performed) and hopefully, after the 2nd, is no longer an issue. The most difficult part about all of this is that I have been bleeding since May 29 (when Keira was born). It's been more frustrating than anything because it has limited me from activities that I enjoy (swimming, exercise...). I know it's not the end of the world and I'm super grateful for a healthy daughter. I can't imagine my stress level if she was less than perfect (yes I think she is the perfect baby - a complete angel). She doesn't make my life any more difficult, just more interesting and fun :)

*A Birthday Celebration for ME!!!! I'm officially 1/4 of a century. The big 2-5! I'm feeling a bit older, but don't feel any regrets for the past 25 years. They've made me who I am! Rick and I spent the morning shopping and I spent the afternoon doing more shopping with my friends, Sandra and Adria. So silly considering I don't shop much anymore. We also went to sushi (my fav!) with even more friends. It was actually a great birthday. No, I didn't ask Rick to take it off from work because he's already taken off an entire week this summer for the baby and my 1st surgery. He only really works 4 months out of the year!
The delicioso cake Adria made...the Japanese people at the restaurant added a touch of their own with pineapple, green tea ice cream, and oranges that looked like dragons...Pretty fancy!
That's it...in a nutshell? Less than 2 weeks to go for the summer and then Home Sweet Home!
