She's here!

Lexi Elise Bassett has arrived! It's been almost a week now but parents know how it goes. We're just smothering her with love. Lexi weighed in at a whopping 8 lbs 11 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. A whole pound bigger than big sister, Keira. I hear they get bigger as you have more. Yikes! She is such a joy and such a wonderful baby. We love being a family of 4 and love having Daddy home to be with us. Here are some pictures especially for those who don't receive picture messages on their phones. So sorry!

We think Keira thought Lexi was a play doll. It took her a couple of days to realize she was real. Our first visitor at the hospital (this was taken at home because I forgot to get one at the hospital - whoops!)Aunt Leslie with cousins Brinley & Brigham (Uncle Cade is working in Spokane - sure missed him though)Sisters are so cute!Of course, we had to get Keira her own baby doll because she can smother this one all she wants.

I'm so glad when Daddy comes home...

...glad as I can be! Daddy came home! Yeah! We are so happy to have him back to welcome the arrival of little sister and to just be with us. He was gone for 5 weeks! Too long if you ask me. Keira remembered him right off the bat and was attached to his hip the whole day. Daddy is a lot more fun than mommy, especially right now.

Keira also went a little nuts over her toy bin. Surprisingly, she hasn't emptied this bin completely before, but she has definitely discovered it now. She fits perfectly and I think she did this for like 20 minutes. The things that entertain kids...

The first of possibly many

This is what happens when you don't listen to your mother...Just remember...treadmills are for Mommy's and Daddy's, not for kids to play on.
