Off to Gramma's house we go
After being home for only a week, we headed up to Gramma Judy and Grampa Steve's house for a couple days. It was a short visit because we still had so much to do around the house. You'd be surprised what needs to be done when you've been gone for 4 months! So we played toys, played outside, cooked with Gramma (something that seems to have turned into a tradition), fed the neighbor dog Dusty, played in the new (but under construction) treehouse, went boating with friends, and just relaxed. Rick had invited some of his APX team to enjoy some wakeboarding and tubing. Thanks Gma & Gpa for letting us mooch as usual :)

Little Brother's wedding and Cali fun
Our summer in Mississippi has ended. The girls and I flew home the last week in August and Rick drove. When he arrived, we unloaded and left the next day for Reno, NV. My youngest brother was married August 28th. We are so excited for Ty. And, of course, he couldn't have picked a better match. We love you Christi! Congratulations on such an amazing step in your lives you guys!

We even had a visit from Grampa Craig, Gramma Lynda, Aunt Elise and Eva. It was so fun to see them and loved seeing little cousin Eva. Wish we lived closer so the cousins could play together more.

After some serious convincing from my sisters Rochelle and Nicole (and probably BIL Brent and brother Kyle), we stayed a couple extra days. We went to the Folsom Aquatic Center, a Redbirds baseball game, Rick played Volleyball with Kyle and Brent, and Bounce U.
I don't know why Lexi would rather play in her carseat, but we did get her in the water some of the time.

It's so good to be back home now after a such a fun vacation. We had a pleasant experience in Mississippi, but there really is no place like home.
It was such a wonderful celebration and we loved seeing how happy Ty looked. Honestly, I have never seen him so happy. I mean, he's always been a fun-loving, "good time" guy, but there was true happiness literally splashed all over his face. There was no hiding it. Thanks Christi for making him so happy.

Lexi just wanted to dance with the frog prince...
...and just wanted to take over the dance floor.
After some fun wedding festivities, we stayed in California for a few more days to visit with Grampa Paul and Gramma Jenny...and of course the local siblings. We had tons of fun playing outside in the water feature, the waterslides, the playground, and all the fun ride-on toys. We did play inside sometimes, but after being in the ridiculously hot and humid Mississippi, we loved not dripping sweat every time we stepped outside. So we spent a lot of time enjoying the warm sun and drier climate.
