Pre-Birthday celebration

Thanks to some great friends, I had a fun pre-birthday celebration. Rick was working Saturday and my birthday was on a Sunday so my girlfriends and I took advantage. We went to see Step Up 3 in 3D and it was freakin' AWESOME! Literally, in your face dancing...I felt like I was actually in a battle! Thanks Sandra and Kelly for such a fun movie date!

Me Berfday

Yes, another year has passed - 27 to be exact. But, the best thing is, I feel GREAT! I've been working out tons getting ready for my first sprint triathlon and channeling my creative waves into crafting. Not to mention, I have such amazing girls that keep me entertained and very busy. Plus, a wonderful husband that treats me so good...sometimes better than I deserve :) This birthday was especially great because I didn't have to do anything! Rick spoiled me by cooking lunch and dinner and my friend Sandra made me an awesome berry pie (I know you're jealous Dad). Sometimes the best birthdays are the simplest ones.

Lexi is 1!

Lexi's favorites:

Favorite Toy: any ball in sight, stuffed animals

Favorite Blanket: Pink & Brown with flower applique's from Uncle Ben and Aunt Dara last Christmas

Favorite Words: Ball, Mama, Dada, Bu-Bye

Favorite thing to do: Walk, walk everywhere! Climb on furniture, tables, chairs...you name it

She also loves to blow kisses, give kisses, play with Daddy, cuddle with Mommy, dance in circles, play on the slide at the park (backwards), and play with Keira (even if she picks on her).

My cutie baby girl is already 1. Oh how the time flies. She is such a doll and is growing with such personality that she always finds ways to make me laugh. Here's how we celebrated...

A ball theme because Lexi is literally obsessed with balls (and it was her first word)
My attempt at Cake Pops. At least I got a couple done for a picture :)Uncle Ty came to celebrate, too.
Lollipops...yum yum!Lexi loved this little flipping dog. She thought it was so funny.
Happy Birthday to you, my sweet baby girl. I love you so much!

I'm finally taking on the large task of posting about my Utah trip. We were so busy with so many fun things that I put it off for a little while. We sure miss Utah and can't wait to return for good (or at least til next summer). We spent a couple days soaking up time at our own home then headed to Gramma Judy's house for more fun than I can tell in one post because there are so many more pictures!

We always have to make time for cooking with Gramma when we visit.
Keira with cousin Carson and the super duper cool dollhouse
Me lovey me sissy
and me lovey me Mommy
Our annual fireside with Cowboy Steve and his cowboy poetry. This year he brought his guitar and a jump rope, too. He is a REAL cowboy!
Not sure how Keira felt about the jump rope, but thanks Uncle Brent for showing her how it's done!
The Trout Farm - loved this place. The girls got to feed the fish and the boys caught some fish. Super fun to watch.
Keira looking for anyone to share their fish food with her...
...Ethan was so sweet to share and Keira thought that meant she could follow him everywhere for more :)
Lexi ready for a dip with the fish
Good job Luke!
Gina-na and DonoLexi helping herself to Dono's stroller
Do you want to touch the fishy?
Being silly with Gramma
Lexi hangin' with cousin Donovan - and, of course, stealing his Bumbo while she's at it
The Birthday Girl - we celebrated early so we could party with the fam. Aunt Leslie and cousins Brigham and Brinley came to visit, too, so we had oodles of fun!
Crazy cute cousins - they look like sisters, don't you think?
The Dinosaur Park
This was her response to every dinosaur she saw.
Keira building her own dinosaur with Aunt Chelle's help
Keira helping Gramma drive the boat. Show her how it's done, baby girl!
Lexi enjoying the boat experience from the lawn
Still got it?
The Rodeo...if you know me at all, I love to have an excuse to dress up for the occasion. My mom pulled out some dress-ups for the girls from her late mother-in-law's stash and it worked out perfect!
The Animal Farm - the girls couldn't get enough of the kitties. Lexi thought it was a stuffed animal and actually treated it like one. So funny.Such cute sisters :)
Night in with Gramma (Brent & Rochelle got a date night so we played games and watched movies with Da Boyz)
Pioneer Days 24th of July Parade
I think this was my favorite part of the parade...only in UT!
Lexi finally warming up to Uncle Brent :)
Concert on the Wolf Mountain hillside. UT weather is amazing compared to Mississippi!

I've always wanted to do face painting with my kids. It's so fun that they are old enough to sit still long enough now!
Grampa Steve and Gramma Judy - the masterminds behind the whole vacation :)
Cousins and their tats
Gramma pulled out this little number the morning we left and Keira loved it!!
Thanks Daddy for flying us to UT for such a great vacation. You're the best!
