Scarecrow Festival

The weather was beautiful this weekend so we took the girls to the Scarecrow Festival at Thanksgiving Point. We found Toddler Town where they have lots of riding toys, building blocks, and slides for toddlers. Keira could have spent all day here, but we wanted to see all the other exciting things, too.

A balloon doggy - Keira loves dogs
She finally got brave enough to go down the slide by herself. It's taken a few trips to the park to warm her up.
Our little happy family

Lexi at 2 1/2 months

We can't believe how time flies. Lexi is such a cutie pie and smiles all the time. We even get little giggles here and there. She is one of those babies that loves to be held, but little by little, she's becoming more independent. Phew! Because I have such good girls, I'm able to get lots of projects completed. I'm halfway done with my Christmas presents! Woohoo! Here's a glimpse of one of the joys in our lives (still working on getting one with a smile - the multiple flashes distract her so this is the look I get...)

An ATV trip for Rick

Rick organized a 3 day ATV trip with a couple of his buddies on the Paiute Trail. They carried their gear on their ATV's/Rhino and camped in the mountains. Thank goodness Rick can get his camping fixes with friends so I don't have to with babies. Thanks guys!

Steve and Rick - yes, it snowed and yes, they camped in it. What brave boys!
This is probably one of the best parts of camping. Beautiful, right?

Bu-Bye Uncle Dallin

Rick's youngest brother Dallin left for his mission just days after we returned from our trip to California. We are so proud of his decision. He is to report to the Georgia Macon mission, Spanish speaking. What a wonderful example he is to us and our children. We love you Uncle Dallin!

California in August

I'm finally able to sit down to update the month of August. We'll see if we can get up to date...Both kids are sleeping and Rick is working so I've got just a little bit of time to reflect on the last couple of months. Rick was home for just a week and a half after Lexi was born and during that time we had a short visit from Gramma Judy. The morning Rick left for his last couple of weeks in Arkansas, Grampa Paul came to play for a couple of days. Then he took me and the girls back to California to spend a couple of weeks being spoiled rotten. Rick met us there and we attended younger brother Dallin's piano concert, sister Elise's wedding, blessed cousin Eva and our Lexi at church, and also had a mission farewell for Dallin all in the same weekend. Phew! Here were some of the other fun things we did...
Played in the pool with cousin Livi

Played in Grampa Paul's water feature

Played on the waterslide with Grampa Paul

Rode around in the jeep with cousin Avery

Little sister slept most of the time...so peaceful

We blessed little Lexi Elise the same day as cousin Eva

Played at Rio Del Mar beach with Bassett cousins...think we've had enough water yet? I don't think so!!

Diggin in the sand with Gramma Lynda

Building sand formations with Grampa Craig

Building a moat with Grampa Craig, Uncle Dallin, Daddy, and cousin Aerin

And, of course, playing in the waves with Daddy
