Roaring '20s
My March has already started out super fun! One of my BFF's turned 30 and her family certainly knows how to throw a party! Oh and it was a surprise party at that. The theme was "Stephanie is roaring out of the 20's and rollin' into her 30's" so we were invited to wear 1920's apparel. I think the only way I pulled it off was some help from my friend Jessica. She styled my hair for me which seemed to pull the whole look together. What a blast!

Heart week
Rick and I found a way to make Valentine's Day to last more than a day this year. The weekend before, we took advantage of a snowstorm and went snowboarding. Gramma Judy watched the kiddos while we enjoyed one of our favorite things to do together. This picture doesn't show much because that's all there was! Snow falling all around! You can see it was a bit chilly, but totally worth it. Gotta love that powder!
Valentine's Day arrived and I made a yummy heart breakfast with a few heart treasures for the girls.
Later that day, I hosted a VERY mini, last minute, cookie party for a few close friends. They just came to decorate cookies and play for a short while. I did have a couple of friends that didn't have dates that night either (Rick was working) so we pulled together a fondue dinner complete with cheese and delicious chocolate. Oh and a side of heart pizza. Delicious. I was too caught up in the fun to document it :)
Rick and I decided a few years ago that we like to go out before or after Valentine's Day because neither of us are a fan of the crowds. Hence, the okay for him to work on Valentine's Day. This year we went the day after. We discovered a new restaurant through Living Social that is vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, and supports local growers. The menu was unique and sounded adventurous so we enjoyed the delicious food there. They usually have dancing, but we weren't there late enough for it. Instead we decided to walk the City Creek mall for awhile and just enjoy each other. I love simple dates with my hubby. I am so in love with this man that just being in his company is all I really need. Where would I be without you, my love?

This little man is definitely a favorite in the house. He is all smiles all the time. There is no part of his body that isn't ticklish. It's very easy to make him laugh. Nicknames include "Cooper Boy", "Bubba", "Mister", "Coopey", "Little Man" or any combination of those. He is sooooooo squishy!

When the snowstorms let up and the sun came out, the girls were out building snowmen, snow castles, and snow angels. I love that they can do all that in our backyard.
I have a shot of the kids together on my bed when Cooper was about 6 weeks old. Keira somehow remembered this (doesn't surprise me since the girl NEVER forgets ANYTHING!) and asked if we could take some more pictures. Ummmm...Yah! No reason to hesitate there! This was my favorite since Cooper was not inclined to agree with Keira.
Keira has been learning to read at school and will read for anyone who will listen. She decided that it was time to start teaching Lexi.
