January sort of just passed on by us.  We stay home most of the time since the snow never seems to end and we are trying to keep Cooper healthy.  I've turned into quite a germ-a-phobe.  The worst sick season I've ever seen will do that to a person.  Each of the kids were sick for a day or 2 with nothing too serious.  Cooper did get croup for a day, but we took him into the doctor asap and they gave him a shot to reduce the swelling in his throat.  After an entire day in his room with a humidifier running, he recovered quickly and nicely.  Hooray!  Rick and I weren't as lucky.  I was sick for a week and a half before I went to the Doc and discovered my lymphnodes and sinuses were fighting a bacterial infection.  Yay for antibiotics!  Rick has been fighting something for several days now including the loss of his voice.  Good thing he doesn't have to be on the phone for his job!  All in all, we've done well considering what we've heard about others.  Definitely counting our blessings.

Onto more pleasant things...

A highlight of the Lexi-girl

Lexi is a Sunbeam!  I can't believe it.  When Keira went to sunbeams, I was so excited for her and knew she was SO ready.  Lexi, on the other hand, still feels like my baby.  I got a little emotional when I realized she wouldn't be in nursery anymore and that meant she was growing up.  I keep telling them they need to stop, but they don't listen to me.  Oh how I love my babies.

There was finally a calm after the storm...oh I mean stormS.  It amazes me how much snow there has been.  But the sun came out and it was warm enough to play outside.  So the girls put on boots and coats (and yes they dressed themselves...there are worse things I've decided) and out they went.  They started with snowball making and it evolved into mini snowmen.  Keira even tried to hit me with a snowball.  She has great aim.  Luckily the camera stayed dry!

I'm happy to say that I am officially caught up...for now.  It is February 1st and no pictures are sitting on my camera untouched.  I usually go a couple months before I get around to another post, but I'll see how my new year's resolution pans out.  1 month behind is better than 2 after all :)
