On the road again...

We thought it would be fun to visit family in California and bring in the New Year so we packed our bags and off we went. Our first visit was with the Bassett side. Boy did we stay busy!

A day of recovery from the long drive
A day in San Francisco: Academy of Sciences Museum
Gramma Lynda and Grampa Craig were so sweet to take the kids home while we stayed in San Francisco for the rest of the day to celebrate our 6 year anniversary! It was really fun to come back to SF because the last time we were here was 6 1/2 years ago when I took Rick for his birthday. So we repeated some of our favorites from the date like Pier 39 and clam chowder in sourdough bread bowls. Yum yum! Oh and on the drive home, we stopped at the movies to see "The Tourist". Definitely recommended!
Still love this guy...more than ever. Our last day with the Bassett fam was another fun one. We spent it along the coast. We saw the sea lions at Ano Nuevo...

...the monarch butterflies at Natural Bridges beach (and had a dance party with the butterflies)...
...and had one quick ride on the carousel at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk before it closed. We barely made it!
We packed up again and headed to The Riverhouse to ring in the New Year with Da Boyz, Uncle Ty and Aunt Christi, Aunt Coley, and Grampa Paul and Gramma Jenny. We threw snappers,
tried to stay warm,
look cute while trying to stay warm,
and did a countdown with New York (9:00 pm California time).
We played legos,
played games,
made silly faces,
and cute faces.
We sure packed it in for being there just one week, but we had so much fun. Thanks family for the super duper fun!
